Scott studied photography under renowned photographers William Eggleston (during Eggleston’s visiting year at Harvard) and Emmet Gowin in the mid-1970s, prior to his banking career, and had various exhibitions at that time. In 2009 he rediscovered his old archive of thousands of negatives and prints and in 2010 had a solo exhibition, “Looking Back” at Hamiltons Gallery in London and produced a book of the same name.  He has participated in a number of group shows since then. Scott’s work was selected and exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. He was profiled in the BBC Culture Show in connection with his selection for the 2012 Summer Exhibition.

His photographs have sold at auctions in the US and Europe and are in collections throughout the world. All proceeds from the sale of Scott’s work are donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital where one of his children was cured of a life-threatening disease many years ago.
